finding the right spot in Floripa to settle down in
Posted: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 12:42 AM (CST)
been to floripa once, but it was a whirlwind adventure through many areas. I am looking for a perfect retirement spot in Floripa. I like being near to the sea so that I can view it, but not so close that the wind and waves require too much maintenance on the house every year. I like to be in a country setting, but very close to the City for my daily errands. I would like an acclaimed private hospital within 15 mins, maybe an international foreign school that teaches portuguese, spanish and english, supermarket, large gym, and lots of activities for kids (karate, swimming, soccer, sailing). I don't want something flashy, but more colonial and beautiful, old school. I know Floripa has the north and south and west and east and middle, but don't know where I belong on these coordinates. I have my parents who are in their late 70's (therefore need to be able to get to the hospital quick) and kids who will probably need to be in school and afterschool activiites. Advise would be appriciated from those in the know.
