Dream vs Reality

I am still undecided about weather I want to live and make my life in floripa. I am a American and my wife is born and raised in floripa. Every year I travel there with my wife so that she can visit her family. Its such a beautiful place to go for vaction. But I am torn between my dream to live there with financial stability, and my reality is that we live in the United States, where we both work have good paying jobs, but we work so many hours we have no life. The thing is that the same job we have in the United States, in Brazil it pays nothing. I am so torn because a least once a week I find myself think about floripa..maybe I am crazy. I know that money does not buy happiness, but neither does stuggling finacially in the pursuit of happiness. So it is a battle between what my brain says and what my heart says.

Tough call, although I think we should always consider what the heart says and ignore a little what the brain says.
Can you plan ahead, and with your both good paying jobs in the state set a target to generate a certain ammount of savings, and then do the move (you just need to put a exact date in advance, otherwise it is likely that will get allways pushed forward)? This way you can have the relaxation of knowing you can live in Brazil for certain ammount of time, and if it does not work as expected, you would have the resources and time to get back. And also once you do that, is like start living the adventure, because you are already planning for it...
